Joy Art system is using Joy Mold to make a easy working of separating model and mounting.

1. Making a plaster model by using Joy Mold.

① trim equally the end of impression model by knife or scissors as shown in Fig. 1
It is better to make enough plaster height which need separting model to produce dental prosthetic appliance.

② It is better to make a hole or make 4 ~ 5mm plaster steps and give an angle of inclination to the outside as shown Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 for easy picking up separation plaster model.

③ Pour plaster to impression model and Joy Mold. And then place Joy Mold to suitable position on the impression model.. It will be better to trim extra plaster by hand or knife before hardening of plaster.
It is better to mark the midline on the impression model and match same line of Joy Mold midline.
When you work with partial mold, it is better to put steel plate (Part No. 213) firstly and then pour plaster. 
④ When the tray size and Joy Mold is not matched well, it is better to place Joy Mold to the Prosthetics teeth.It is better to pour plaster to the Prosthetics teeth firstly. Put the Joy Mold to the articulator and then pour plaster to the opposite teeth after placing mold which make a good position to put articulator smoothly as shown Fig. 4.
⑤ Make equally as possible as lower Joy Mold and upper Joy Mold when you make impression tasking with bite tray as shown Fig. 3. It is possible to happen the mismatching between Joy Mold and articulator (Joy Art 1/Arti-SB) when the mold is not parallel.
It is better to pour plaster to the prosthetics teeth firstly. Put the Joy Mold to the articulator and then pour plaster to the opposite teeth after placing mold which make a good position to put articulator smoothly as shown Fig. 4.

⑥ Saw the plaster model after hardening plater totally. Saw the plaster model and Joy Mold to the 1st step of Joy Mold as shown Fir. 5. It will be possible not to separate plaster model from mold if you do not saw the plaster model and mold until the 1st step of mold. It will be possible to shake the plater model if you saw the mold too deeply.
Trim the sharp point or rough point of mold cutting part by knife. Blow dust by air-gun on the plaster model and in the mold. Attention not to remain plaster dust or plastic dust in the mold during working.

⑦ It is possible to saw both of the plaster model and Joy Mold when you work short crown. However, it is better to work by back sawing when you work small tooth such as the lower anterior tooth or more than two teeth

⑧ Use the hole which is in the bottom of mold when you want back sawing. It is possible to make a hole as position you want and hit the end of mold by steel rod as shown Fig. 7.
In case of short plaster model or 3~4 teeth plaster model, it is possible to separate the plaster model from the mold without using steel rod.

⑨ Use Jig (Joy Holder) when you saw plaster model and mold as shown Fig. 8. It is better to work above dust collector.

⑩ Use base plate with plaster model which is making without Joy Mold. Stick by super glue mold and plaster model after trim the model as shonw Fig. 9. In case of the working model, make the plaster base in the Joy mold and trim the model enough size. Match with Joy Mold by plaster and sawing the model as shown Fig. 10

2. Mounting working

① Conneting and fix the upper and lower plaser cast on the right position with using dental wax as shown Fig. 11

② Put the lower model to the Joy Art / Arti-SB articulator.
③ Loose the bolt of articulator and put the upper model to the aticulator. And then tighten the bolt (No. J16) with holding ball cover by hand as shown Fig. 12
Do not contact the end of ball holder to the neck of the ball. (Refer to Fig. 13) In this case, refer to making plaster model. (Instruction 1-⑤)

④ Separate the model which is fixed by dental wax and start working.
