High-speed and high-accuracy mounting by super direct drive heads. - The rotary heads consists of 12 stations, and each head incorporates 5 pick-up nozzles. - The super direct drive heads with a structure which integrates the heads with the motors are employed, and the motors themselves perform the corrections directly to eliminate the drive transfer error and other problems that usually occur when the head rotation is corrected. - The 5 nozzles are selected and switched by the automatic nozzle change mechanism inside the heads. - Free from the restrictions imposed by the nozzle changeover and mounting angles, a maximum mounting tact time of 0.075 sec. Per component is realized. - A head rotation resolution of 0.007 deg./pulse is achieved, and a head rotation stop accuracy of ±0.03 deg. Is attained by the head rotation error correction function and vibration-damping control.
