Weight Classification Sensor Tester

System Overview WCS(Weight Classification Sensor) was developed by MOBIS and it is used for Advanced airbag system. And, the WCS have very important role that is detecting passenger's weight classification in the advanced airbag system so, it should be checked before shipping to customer. To meet this requirement, HBEP had developed WCS Tester at the first in Korea and had supplied vehicle seat manufacturers for checking assembled seat and WCS. For the advanced airbag system, vehicle should have passenger weight classification detection system. One of these detection systems is WCS that was developed by MOBIS. WCS have load sensors at the seat mounting position and these load sensors will detect the weight of passenger. WCS Tester was developed by HBEP at the first in Korea, and the major customer is vehicle seat manufacturer. The test will be done by loading special weight on the assembled seat and WCS at the production line. So, WCS Tester should be adapted many different production line conditions.In addition, WCS Tester should have functionality for communication with WCS during the test, so the software is very important component on the test system. Until now, WCS have short history in Korean market, so the hardware mechanism and software of WCS Tester is very brand new technology. The Functions of WCS Tester Dual Weight System for simulating child and adult weight Track Moving Mechanism for seat position adjustment Max. 3 kind of weights and 3 kind of positions are programmable. Step Testing Function Safety and Emergency Functions for Operators Many kind of system layouts and customer requirements are realized based on many kind of experiences. System Appearance Main Frame : Main frame is including dual weight, pneumatic units and moving parts . And, it will have different design according to plant layout or requirements. Pneumatic Unit : WCS Tester is required three pneumatic units and these are controlled by position or on/off signal. Loading Weight Assembly : Dual weight system is required for simulating child and adult and this weight system should be loaded on the seat at exact position. And, the shape of weight assembly will be selected by customer. Operator Panel : Operator panel will be operated by workers, so it should be designed simple switch layout and long durability. HBEP consider any button or equipment on the control panel in terms of workers. Controller : Controller have control hardware and software for operating WCS Tester and gathering test data. Controller will be separated with main frame for maintenance and monitoring. HBEP have a good experience for many kind of controllers so HBEP design controller and display for easy operation.
