Introduction
Apply a cold ice pack or a hot ice pack?
What is necessary for me?
Effects of applying an ice pack
Lowering temperature by applying a cold pack will help slow down the metabolism in cells and reduce infection and edema caused from damage.
It can help reduce internal bleeding by contracting the vessels at the damaged section.
It provides a pain-killing effect for an injured area of a body as it can help anesthetize that area.
It can help relax muscle cramps at the injured area.
Effects of applying a hot pack
Applying a hot pack on an injured body can help expand the small vessels at the injured part and help blood circulate well, consequently allowing nutrients to be supplied to the damaged tissues and making them recuperate fast.
To say conclusively, it is critical to apply an ice pack to contract vessels and minimize internal bleeding, for example, at capillaries before 24~48 hours pass following the injury. It will be helpful to apply a hot pack when the injured part recovers from edema or bleeding after 24~48 hours following the occurrence of the injury, or when it is needed to apply a hot pack as a preparatory procedure before exercising to recover the muscular function after the injured part recuperate from the damage.
NF-101(Placing an ice pack on shoulders and knees)
Place it around the shoulder using a long strap and then use a buckle to cover it. When it needs to be applied on a knee, the long strap needs to be removed and the short strap needs to be used to fix it from the inside of the knee. In addition, even when the long strap is used, it will give more feeling of contact when the upper and lower parts of the pack are covered around and fixed using a buckle. To apply the hot pack to allow the heat to be distributed evenly, it would be sufficient to heat it for about 2 minutes in a microwave range after spreading it well while the hot pack is applied
NF-201(Placing an ice pack on the for elbows and ankles)
Place it around the damaged area and set up the buckle and adjust the strap to the length appropriate for the user. Refer to the photos of wearing it when you try to put it on. When it is required to apply a cold pack, it is recommended to apply the pack after it is solidly frozen for about 3~4 hours in a freezer. This product can be used immediately after taken out from the freezer as it is made of high-quality materials. Another recommendable way is to keep the frozen pack in an ice box or a cooler and carry it, and then apply it on the spot after exercising.
