DW8780

Triple Output DC/DC for AMOLED Display

DW8780 is DC-DC converter with triple synchronous output (OUTP, OUTN and AVDD) for powering AMOLED display. The device integrates two boost converters for OUTP, AVDD and an inverting buck boost converter for OUTN which are suitable for battery operated products. The digital control pin CTRL allows programming the OUTP, OUTN and AVDD voltage in digital steps. DW8780 uses new technologies for high performance line and load regulation.

These functions are is required to prevent flicker noise of AMOLED display by input voltage drop and recovery during transmit periods in mobile phones.

DW8738 device is a highaccuracy display power supply solution. The device generates two positive voltage supply rail and one voltagereference. The device is comprised of the synchronous-boost converters which generate the panel power and the analog power.

High Efficiency 3 String White LED Driver

DW8832 is a high-efficiency 3-string power supply IC, which provides the voltage for LED strings for display backlight. DW8832's 11-bit LED driver provides high-performance backlight dimming for up to 3 series LED strings. The full-scale LED current ranges from 5mA to 30mA. An adaptive current regulation allows for changing LED voltages in each string while maintaining current regulation. LED voltage operates over 2.7V to 5.0V input voltage range.
