 After Use-Paseco's forced-air heaters

We were looking for a heating solution for our worksite for a long time. We've tried all kinds of heaters, from small kerosene heaters to larger gas or oil-firing space heaters, but could never find a solution that is perfect for us. We needed something that could heat our indoor shop as well as our outdoor job site. Traditional space heaters took too long to heat up our poorly insulated indoor work space, often taking several hours for the entire space to heat up. The nature of our work on most construction sites forced us to spend a few hours at a time in the shop to fabricate various x-x-x-frames and other construction materials, after which we would move to the outdoor site. What ended up happening usually was that the heater would be just starting to warm up the indoor space when we had to go outside. The space heaters were basically useless outdoors, since the radiating heat dissipated immediately when the heaters were brought outside.

We finally decided on force-air heaters. They basically look like large hair dryers, except the heat comes from the flames inside instead of heating coils. A fan forces air over the flame elements inside the heater, which is then sent out of the heater tub as heated air. We decided to go with force-air heaters made by a company called Paseco for several different reasons. The biggest was that Paseco's force-air heaters are offered in both gas-fired and oil-fired models. Since we often have to move around very large job sites, lugging around 100-liter propane gas tanks was not feasible. Instead we used smaller propane models of up to 100,000 BTU for smaller, fixed spaces, while purchasing larger oil-fired models for larger job sites.

Oil-firing units offered by Paseco range from 45,000 BTU to a whopping 650,000 BTU, with a 110-liter internal fuel tank. Since diesel fuel is easy to access on most residential and commercial job sites, the use of the internal tank and the higher output of the oil-burning model is perfect for our application. Paseco also offers kerosene-burning models if that is your fuel of choice. Another obvious advantage is portability. Paseco's forced-air heaters are mounted on a wheeled cart with handles and a front stand, making it as easy to transport around as a wheelbarrow. Since forced-air heating can heat up an enclosed space very quickly, we can move the heater from an indoor site to outdoors whenever we need to. Unlike radiating heaters, forced-air heaters blow out a considerable amount of heated air, which means that even when we are outdoors we can stay quite warm by standing near the heater.

There are also other advantages of using forced-air heaters. Paseco's heaters come in distinct orange, black, red or white, and we chose orange to make sure they stay visible on a busy job site. The portable construction is unique and means that they remain stable on most surfaces due to the combination of wheel and support bars, unlike other heaters with flat bottoms that are difficult to move or place on irregular ground. Paseco's heaters also have spark plug ignition and safety cutoff and leakage prevention. For a job site or any working space that needs both indoor and outdoor heating that starts up fast and heats up indoor areas quickly, forced-air portable heaters are the ideal solution. Paseco's heaters are highly portable, durable, and offer fuel flexibility that is not found with many of the other manufacturers out there.

Paseco was founded in 1974 as a manufacturer of electric equipment and appliances. The company currently maintains a product-range that includes heaters gas hobs, ceramic (electric) hobs, wall ovens, dishwashers, counter-top compact dishwashers, dish dry & sterilizers, and specialty refrigerators such as drawer fridges, wine cellars, rice coolers, side-dish fridges, and wall-mount mini-fridges. The company also manufactures a wide range of heating equipment including radiating heaters, space heaters, and forced-air heaters as mentioned above.
