The switchgear is safe for fire in that it contains no flammable material and has a self suppression system. There are also some very technical features to the DC switchgear which is available in two models. The switchgear has a nominal voltage of DC 750 volts (the ETGR 21 model) and DC 1,500 volts for the ETGR 22 model. The rated voltage of the switchgear is 900 volts for the ETGR 21 and 1800 volts for the ETGR 22. The mechanical durability of the switchgear is 20,000 times. The control voltage for both models of the switchgear is DC 110 volts. It is possible to operate the switchgear up to an altitude of 2000 meters and a maximum ambient temperate of circa 40 degrees Celsius. The ETGR 21 weighs 650 kilograms and the ETGR 22 weighs 700 kilograms.
