Product Description * The CNR (Cilium Nutrient Removal) is an innovative wastewater treatment system with cilium-type fixed-film media in integrated fixed-film activated sludge (IFAS) process. * Millions individual hairy fibers (cilia) with 30-50 mm in fiber length stand out of the inner plate to form a cilium unit, which create a wealth of surface area for active biofilm.* The cilium unit is fabricated from polyethylene and polypropylene with 200 mm in width and 500-3000 mm in length. Product Feature * The specially designed CNR cilium media provides extensive surface area on which microorganisms grow easily to form biofilm. Higher biomass inventory allows the organic loading to the aeration tank to be increased without increasing the overall F/M ratio.* Easy upgrade for Biological Nutrient Removal – the CNR system provides enhanced protection against potential washout of nitrifying bacteria under cold temperature.* CNR system requires no additional operation costs or operator attention over conventional activated sludge. It can cut down the operation cost by 30%* The CNR system maintains stable and reliable operation with high T-N removal efficiency at more than 62%, even under condition of high influent loading fluctuation, a low C/N ration, cold temperature below 10°C and no additional carbon source.
