Segment for manufacturing Bloom, consists of mobile sector, fixed sector #!,#2 pinch roll and

W/S. It includes high stress, and most solidification occurs on this segment. Temperature

gradient shall be adjusted properly so that appropriate quantity and distribution of spray can

make cast piece cool down uniformly. Improper cool-down may cause cracks on product. The

following functions are required:- Sufficient cooling function

- Minimized bulging and roll deformation

- Properly distributed withdrawal force

- Easy replacement and refuel of roll
